Difference Between Verification and assertion

Verify command will verify the condition and if its not match, it will give error message in Log area and will start executing next commands. while in assert command, if condition does not match then it will stop remaining script execution in selenium IDE software testing tool.

Step 1-Select Element in IDE Target Section

Step 2-Go to Application,
Select On Element Right Click And
Click On Show All Available Commands.
From that Select VerifyElementPresent Link

Step 3-
Once the Command is Selected for Verification it wil reflect in the IDE in the Table Tab showing Command for Verification
And the Element getting Verified after Executing In IDE

Step 4-
During Execution of Test case At the verification step If the Element is Found or not, it will still go ahead to the next step. But it will Result in pass status With Green color if verification is successful, otherwise It will show fail Status with Red color

For Assertion

Step 3-
Once the Command is Selected for assertion it wil reflect in the IDE in the Table Tab showing Command for assertion
And the Element getting asserted after Executing In IDE
